Dany Nicolas

Dany NicolasBorn and raised in Tadoussac, Dany began to play music when he was 8 years old. After moving to Montreal, he obtained his Bachelors degree at UQAM with Pierre Dumont-Gauthier. He is guitarist for the band Sagapool (winner of a Felix for Instrumental Album of the year and “breaking the boundaries” at the Great Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2012, the band tours around the world since 1999). He is the solo guitar for the “Pink Floyd symphonique” project at the Classica Festival of St-Lambert. He is also guitarist, banjoist and mandolinist for the band Apadooraï and The Badaboom and occasionally plays guitar or bass for the Fanfare Pourpour. He teaches guitar at the Conservatory of music of Monteregie and writes music for documentaries.
